Guysborough RCMP investigate fatal pedestrian collision, Ecum Secum, N.S.

Guysborough RCMP is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that killed a pedestrian on Saturday evening. On August 10th, at 5:14 p.m., Guysborough RCMP responded to a single vehicle fatal collision involving a pedestrian that occurred on Wharf Road.

On August 10th, at 5:14 p.m., Guysborough RCMP responded to a single vehicle fatal collision involving a pedestrian that occurred on Wharf Road.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the man fell on the ground and in the path of a reversing pick-up truck. The victim was transported to hospital by EHS with serious injuries.

On Monday, August 12th, Raymond William Pye, 67, from Ecum Secum succumbed to his injuries in hospital. The investigation is continuing.
