Halifax City Council Rejects Downtown Building Proposal

The latest salvo in Halifax’s “battle for the buildings” saw Armour Group’s proposal to revitalize Historic Properties rejected, but just barely.  It’s anybody’s guess what the next move might be.

“Councillors went back and forth on the issue all afternoon Tuesday. Some argued the proposal for Upper Water Street would forever change the Historic Properties, while others said it met the planning guidelines”
