Halifax Common Outdoor Pool to Close Monday for Maintenance

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that the Halifax Common Outdoor Pool will be closed for maintenance beginning Monday, July 8 at 5 p.m. This closure will be in effect until further notice to investigate water loss in the pool.

The splashpad on the Common will remain operational while the pool is undergoing maintenance.

Residents will be notified through a Public Service Announcement once the pool has reopened.

Please note: Free public swims will be offered at Needham and Centennial pools for the duration of this closure, as per the schedule below:

Needham Pool

Monday to Friday, 1 – 2:30 p.m.
Sundays, 2 – 4 p.m.

Centennial Pool

Tuesday and Thursday (July 9 and 11), 2-3 p.m.
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (July 15, 16 and 18), 2-3 p.m.
