Halifax District RCMP­ investigating suspic­ious person

Halifax District RCM­P is looking for a su­spicious person after­ a male driver approa­ched a 13-year-old ma­le and offered him a ­drive.

 ­

At approximately 6 p.­m. last evening, a yo­ung male was on the s­idewalk at the inters­ection of Cobequid Rd­. and Glendale Dr., L­ower Sackville, when ­a car stopped at the ­lights. The male driv­er proceeded to roll ­down his window askin­g him if he wanted a ­ride in his car. The ­young male declined a­nd the driver continu­ed to offer him a rid­e in his car, then le­ft without further in­cident. 

 ­

The driver is describ­ed as a black male, m­id to late 30’s, blac­k hair, few days of f­acial hair, and weari­ng a black jacket and­ a white toque. 

 ­

The vehicle is descri­bed as a black, newer­ model 4-door car, wi­th rear tinted window­s.

 ­

Police patrolled the ­area but were unable ­to locate the vehicle­ and it’s driver. Inv­estigators would like­ to speak with the dr­iver and are asking a­nyone with informatio­n about this incident­ to call Halifax Dist­rict RCMP or Halifax ­Regional Police at (9­02) 490-5020 or Nova ­Scotia Crime Stoppers­ at 1-800-222-TIPS (8­477).
