On Saturday, September 24, 2016 at approximately 12 noon, a 28-year-old man was attempting to cross Coleridge Court, when he was struck by a car. The man was struck from behind, and was later treated at hospital with minor injuries. At the time of the collision, he was not in a marked crosswalk.
The female driver stopped the vehicle, which is described as a red Chevrolet Cobalt or Pontiac G5, and the passenger in the vehicle provided a telephone number to another person at the scene. The driver and passenger then left the scene. The driver is described as being in her late 40’s with curly brown hair. She did not identify herself to the victim and, police have not been able to identify the driver or vehicle involved in this collision.
The police are asking the driver to contact Halifax District RCMP. They are also asking for anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or has information about this incident, to call the RCMP non-emergency line at 902-490-5020.
