From RCMP/HRP:
Members of the Halifax District Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and Halifax Regional Police (HRP) responded to a two vehicle collision on Main Street near Montague Road in Cole Harbour at 23:35 hours (11:35 pm) involving a marked RCMP vehicle and a 2001 Ford Taurus. The police vehicle was traveling eastbound on Main Street with emergency lights activated when the Ford Taurus pulled onto Main Street from a business parking lot in front of the police vehicle resulting in the collision. Neither the RCMP officer nor the driver of the Taurus required medical attention. The driver of the Taurus is facing charges of Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle under the Criminal Code and Failing to Yield under the Motor Vehicle Act.
