Halifax District RCMP charged a 19-year-old man for stunting.
Just after 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, RCMP observed a vehicle travelling at a very high rate of speed on Highway 7 in Head of Jeddore. The vehicle was clocked at 147 km/hr in a 70 km/hr zone, 77 km/hr over the posted speed limit.
A 19-year-old male was charged for Stunting under the Provincial Motor Vehicle Act. In addition, his license was suspended for 7 days and his vehicle was seized. The fine for stunting in Nova Scotia is $2,422.50.
Halifax District RCMP want to remind the public that speed is one of the major causes of serious injury and fatal collisions on our roads.
