Halifax District RCMP host bike auction, Dartmouth, N.S.

Halifax District RCMP is hosting a bike auction in support of the RCMP Volunteer Youth Program – Stetsons and Spurs.

Each year, police recover a number of stolen bikes that are then held for a period of time to allow owner’s a chance to claim them.

After a period of time those that are unclaimed are put up for auction.

Halifax District RCMP is hosting a bike auction on Saturday, May 23rd from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Mic Mac Mall (in the lower parking lot, closest to Hwy 111). Bicycle viewing will take place from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The auction (cash and carry) will commence immediately after viewing ends. Proceeds from the auction will be used to support the RCMP Stetsons & Spurs Youth Program.

Anyone searching for a missing or stolen bicycle is encouraged to call the police agency or office closest to where the bike was last seen.
