(Updated) Halifax District RCMP investigate female forced into a vehicle

(Updated) Police have identified the woman and the man involved in the incident in Cole Harbour last night thanks to the assistance of the public.

Just after 10 p.m. last evening, Halifax District RCMP responded to a 911 call where a female was forcibly dragged into a vehicle by a male who then drove off with her.

Investigators with the Major Crime Unit, of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, received information from the public which helped identify the man and woman. Investigators have confirmed the woman is safe.

The investigation is continuing.

Halifax District RCMP are investigating a complaint that a female was forcibly dragged into a vehicle by a male who then drove off with her. This occurred on Flying Cloud Drive just after 10 p.m. last night. The vehicle was last seen heading towards Gregory Drive. Police were not able to locate the vehicle, nor the suspect or victim.

The male suspect is described as a black male, 20-30 years of age, 5’8″-5’10”, thin build, wearing dark clothing.

The female is described as a white female, 18-20 years of age, blond hair, wearing a white tank top.

The vehicle is described as a dark coloured four door vehicle, with brake lights that light up the whole back of the vehicle, possibly a Dodge Charger or Dodge Dart.
