Halifax District RCMP investigate robbery, Lower Sackville, N.S.

Halifax District RCMP are investigating a robbery that occurred last evening.

At approximately 10:50 p.m.., Halifax District RCMP responded to a report of a robbery which had just occurred at a residence on Lennox Drive.

Seven males, six of whom were wearing bandannas to disguise their appearance, entered the home and assaulted a 17-year-old male with a golf club and a knife and then robbed him of a number of electronic items.

The suspects fled through the back yard prior to police arriving. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. The victim and one suspect are known to each other. This was not a random act.

The unmasked male suspect is described as a white male, 17-years-old approximately five foot eight inches tall with short brown hair. A second suspect is described as a white male, five foot eleven inches tall, thin build, brown hair and wearing a bandanna. The remaining suspects were white males and all wore dark bandannas over the lower portion of their face.

Halifax District RCMP were assisted at the scene by RCMP Forensic Identification Section and an RCMP Police Dog. The General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are continuing with the investigation.
