Halifax District RCMP is looking for a suspicious person after a driver approached a young girl in Lawrencetown yesterday.
At approximately 1:30 p.m. yesterday, a van stopped on Conrad Rd. in Lawrencetown and the driver asked a lone 11-year-old girl if she wanted a ride. The girl declined and ran away, and the vehicle left the area.
The girl was not able to get a good look at the driver, and was only able to describe them as a white person. The sex of the driver was also not identified. The vehicle is described as a rusty, older-model blue or grey minivan, with a flag and some other items hanging from the mirror. The girl also reported that she may have seen the same vehicle in the same area the night before.
