Halifax District RCMP investigate suspicious fire, Sheet Harbour, N.S.

Halifax District RCMP is investigating a structure fire that occurred earlier this morning destroying a garage.

At approximately 3:20 a.m. Sheet Harbour RCMP members were alerted by Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency (HRFE) of a structure fire in the 23000 block of Highway 7.

Upon arrival, members found a garage completely engulfed in flames. Preliminary investigation determined the cause of the fire was suspicious.

An investigator with HRFE has been called to assist police in determining the exact cause of the fire.

The General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are continuing with the investigation. They are being assisted at the scene by RCMP Forensic Identification Services(FIS).
