Halifax District RCMP investigates fatal pedestrian / motor vehicle collision, Lower Sackville, N.S.

Halifax District RCMP is investigating a fatal pedestrian/ motor vehicle collision that occurred at exit 2B, in the northbound on-ramp to Highway 102 at Larry Uteck Dr. At approximately 11:23 p.m.

Halifax District RCMP is investigating a fatal pedestrian/ motor vehicle collision that occurred at exit 2B, in the northbound on-ramp to Highway 102 at Larry Uteck Dr.

At approximately 11:23 p.m.

last night, a 911 caller reported that he struck a pedestrian at the bottom of the Northbound on-ramp to Highway 102 at Larry Uteck Dr. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle that struck him was treated at the scene by paramedics and released. The northbound lanes of Highway 102 were closed at exit 2B from the time of the call and re-opened at 5:30 a.m.

The deceased is a 32 year-old-male from the Windsor area. The investigation is continuing.
