Halifax District RCMP investigates rash of property-related crimes, Elderbank, N.S.

Halifax District RCMP is investigating several incidents of residential breaks, car thefts and thefts from motor vehicles along the Old Guysborough Rd.

Over the weekend, Halifax District RCMP responded to three break-ins to homes, two thefts from motor vehicles and a theft of a motor vehicle along the Guysborough Rd.

Suspects stole a white 2014 Chevy Suburban from a driveway in the 6000 block of Old Guysborough Rd. and entered a van and a truck parked in the driveway and stole personal items.

At the same time as these reports came in, RCMP recovered a stolen vehicle, a white Kia, near the same area.

An old farm house was also broken into on the Old Guysborough Rd. and a number of vehicles including farm equipment on the property had been entered.

RCMP were also notified of a break and enter into a home on Cook’s Brook Rd. Several items have been seized for forensic examination.

All the files remain under investigation.
