Halifax District RCMP investigates robbery, Lower Sackville, N.S.

Halifax District RCMP is investigating a robbery with weapon that occurred late last evening.

At approximately 10:45 p.m., Lower Sackville RCMP responded to a robbery complaint where the suspect threatened the victim with a knife and stole his backpack and contents.

Preliminary investigation determined the victim was walking along a path near Sackville Cross Roads that connects to Seawood Avenue when a red 1990`s Honda Accord pulled up beside him. The suspect, a front seat passenger in the vehicle, approached the victim produced a pocket knife and stole his gym bag which contained a Samsung tablet and charger. The suspect then left in the vehicle which drove down Sackville Dr. toward Beaver Bank Rd.

The suspect is described as a male approximately 18-years-old and is biracial. He was wearing a black shirt and khaki pants. The driver of the vehicle is described as a white male, approximately 18-years-old and was wearing a flower design baseball cap. A third passenger in the vehicle was in the backseat and dressed in black clothing.

Investigators are asking anyone who has information on this matter or who might have seen suspicious activity in the area prior to or following the robbery to contact them.
