Halifax District RCMP is investigating a single vehicle collision which happened last night.

Shortly before 10 p.m., Halifax District RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision involving a Mazda CX7 on Hwy 374 in Sheet Harbour where the vehicle struck a guardrail and came to rest in the ditch, causing extensive damage to the vehicle.

RCMP, EHS and volunteer firefighters attended the scene. The driver was transported by LifeFlight to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries and the lone passenger suffered minor injuries.

The investigation in continuing.
