Halifax District RCMP investigates theft of copper wire, Lakeside, N.S.

Halifax District RCMP is investigating theft of copper wire from the Nova Scotia Power compound in the Lakeside Industrial Park.

On Monday, July 20 at approximately 7 a.m.

, Tantallon RCMP responded to an incident involving theft of copper wire from a Nova Scotia Power Corporation compound on Lakeside Dr. Preliminary investigation determined suspects cut through a chain-link fence sometime between late Sunday and early Monday to gain entry into the yard. Once inside the yard, suspects forced their way into secure storage containers on two company trucks and stole several coils of #2 – #6 gauge copper wire.
