Last evening at 7:21 p.m., Halifax District RCMP received a call of a road rage incident on Highway 111. Witnesses reported to police that it appeared that a pickup truck was attempting to force a small car off the road. RCMP located the vehicles and stopped them on Caldwell Rd.
The driver of the pickup, a 25-year-old man from Dartmouth, was charged with Careless and Imprudent Driving and Driving a Motor Vehicle without Insurance. His vehicle was seized and towed from the scene. No one was injured during the incident.
The RCMP would like to remind drivers that aggressive driving is one of the factors has been shown to be a cause of fatal and serious injury collisions in Nova Scotia. Anyone witnessing aggressive or unsafe driving is asked to contact police immediately by calling 911.
