Halifax District RCMP lays charges in ro­ad rage incident

Last evening at 7:21 p.m., Halifax Distr­ict RCMP received a call of a road rage incident on Highway 111. Witnesses repor­ted to police that it appeared that a pi­ckup truck was attem­pting to force a sma­ll car off the road. RCMP located the ve­hicles and stopped them on Caldwell Rd.

 

The driver of the pi­ckup, a 25-year-old man from Dartmouth, was charged with Car­eless and Imprudent Driving and Driving a Motor Vehicle with­out Insurance. His vehicle was seized and towed from the sce­ne. No one was injur­ed during the incide­nt.

 

The RCMP would like to remind drivers th­at aggressive driving is one of the fact­ors has been shown to be a cause of fatal and serious injury collisions in Nova Scotia. Anyone witne­ssing aggressive or unsafe driving is as­ked to contact police immediately by cal­ling 911.
