Halifax District RCMP Respond to Weapons Complaint

Halifax District RCMP members along with HRPS K9 unit respon­ded to a weapons com­plaint at about 1pm on Saturday, March 25, 2017 .   

Information was rece­ived from the public that a small group of youths were seen walking into Cole Ha­rbour Place with some type of handgun. Officers immediately responded and the building was placed into lockdown. Officers were able to quickly locate the weapon, which turned out to be an airgu­n. No one was injured at this call.  The lockdown at Cole Harbour Place has since been lifted and is back to normal operations. The inves­tigation is ongoing and updates will be provided pending any significant develop­ment.
