Shortly before 5 p.m on September 3, Cole Harbour RCMP were dispatched to the intersection of Cole Harbour Rd. and Perron Dr. following a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle.
A 23-year-old Cole Harbour woman had activated crosswalk lights and proceeded to cross the road. While in the crosswalk, she was struck by a vehicle . The pedestrian suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.
The 68-year-old male driver of the vehicle was charged with Failing to Yield to a Pedestrian in a Crosswalk.
