Halifax District RCMP seeks public’s help to identify suspect in assault at local bar

On January 27 just after 2 a.m., Halifax District RCMP responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a local bar on Sackville Drive.​

Police arrived on scene and dispersed the crowd.​ Several of the parties involved in the disturbance had left prior to police arrival.​ The investigation revealed that​ a man was assaulted by two other men.​ The victim attended the hospital and was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Through the course of the investigation, one of the suspects was identified as Treyton Alexander Marsman, 20, from Lakeside.​ Marsman was arrested without incident on February 20 and appeared in Dartmouth Provincial Court later that day on charges of Assault and Breach of Recognizance.​ He was remanded in custody until his next appearance on March 13 at 09:30 a.m.

The second suspect has not yet been identified and RCMP is requesting the public’s help. The suspect is described as in his mid 20s, 6-foot with black hair and facial hair.
