Halifax District RCMP Traffic Unit were out on Thursday in an effort to improve road safety in Lower Sackville.
During an hour and a half, 14 drivers were issued Summary Offence Tickets after members conducted a road safety pro-active on Sackville Dr.
Seven drivers were charged for using a handheld cellular device, five drivers were charged after being clocked at driving over 70 km/hr in a 50 km/hr zone, and two drivers were charged for not wearing a seatbelt.
