At approximately 6:15 am Halifax Regional Police responded to a reported robbery at the Shoppers Drug Mart, located at 278 Lacewood Dr in Halifax. Staff reported to police that a man entered the store, produced a knife and demanded narcotics. The man obtained a quantity of narcotics before fleeing the store and leaving the area in a black or dark colored Volkswagen. There were no injuries in this robbery, HRP are currently onscene conducting a preliminary investigation, the matter will be assigned to members of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division for follow up. The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 5’10, 180 lbs, with dark colored hair, a beard and bushy eyebrows, wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants.
