Halifax Forum undergoing major redevelopment

The complex is a registered heritage property

The Halifax Forum Community Association has teamed up with Halifax Regional Municipality for some much needed redevelopments of the Halifax Forum.

Their development plan includes a replacement of each and every recreational facility in the building.

The municipality also suggested that the Halifax Forum also add greenspace and outdoor recreational facilities.

The redevelopment plan would benefit parking as well, there would be a reduction of permanent multi-purpose space and event space. This plan would be able to hold approximately 150 vehicles.

The Halifax Forum has continued to get community engagement for this redevelopment plan. There was an open house on April 19th which helped with community input and engagement. There was also a survey that was posted and was open until April 30th.

The input from the community will be given to The Halifax Regional Council to help with recommendations on a final development design and approach to the Halifax Forum.
