Halifax Pop Explosion.. Well.. Explodes In Popularity This Year

Philip Croucher over at Metro Halifax has a brief interview with Waye Mason, executive director of the Halifax Pop Explosion. (Arguably Halifax’s largest music festival) This year is the biggest yet, and it coincides with the inaugural Halifax Film Explosion also taking place.  From the article:

“The popular music festival, which runs today through Saturday at 12 venues across the city, will feature a record 145 acts this year. That number is roughly 30 more than last year’s total and 119 ahead of the inaugural Halifax Pop Explosion in 1993.”
