Halifax RCMP investigate cruelty to animal, Musquodoboit Harbour, N.S.

Halifax District RCMP is investigating an animal cruelty incident.

On June 17 at approximately 7:30 p.m., Halifax District RCMP responded to a call of animal cruelty on Les Collins Ave.

involving a cat who had been shot with a BB gun.

Preliminary investigation determined that a pet cat had been gone for two days and when it returned home, the owner noticed it was suffering from an injury. The owner took the cat to a veterinarian who discovered approximately 20 BB gun pellets were embedded in the outer layer of its skin.
