In recognition of National Volunteer Week, Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency (HRFE) is honouring the brave men and women who volunteer with the fire service.
Many of the 51 stations throughout the municipality rely on volunteers to serve their communities after finishing their “day job” – which includes a lot of days, nights, and weekends.
HRFE’s 530 volunteers are first responders for medical emergencies, fires, car accidents, and a myriad of other emergencies.
“No matter what kind of call they respond to, our volunteers are professional, well-trained, and dedicated to the fire service,” said Fire Chief Ken Stuebing. “Congratulations on building your confidence, competence, and connections.”
HRFE recognizes your contribution and thanks you, the volunteer, for making our communities safer.
