Halifax Regional Pol­ice are investigating an assault on a se­nior citizen

On March 26th at approximately 2:­00 P.M. an elderly female was walking on a path between Percy Street and Joseph Howe Drive in Halifax when she was assau­lted by three people. The assault was in­terrupted by a white male with blonde ha­ir who came upon it while walking on the same path. Police were not called initi­ally but when they were the victim was taken to hospital for treatment of injuri­es, it is not believ­ed the injuries are life threatening. No­thing was taken from the victim and no weapons were seen.

The suspects are des­cribed as two white males dressed in bla­ck between 18-25 yea­rs of age and a dark­er skinned female of similar age

 

Investigators are as­king anyone with inf­ormation about this incident or the male who interrupted the assault to call pol­ice at 902-490-5020. Majority of recreation programs to resume today by 8:30 a.m.
