Halifax Regional Pol­ice have a suspect in custody after bank robbed in Dartmouth

On April 1st 2017 at approximate­ly 10:21 A.M. Halifax Regional Police re­ceived a call of a robbery at the TD Bank located at 97 Port­land Street.

A male entered the bank ind­icating he had a fir­earm and demanded mo­ney. No firearm was seen and no one was injured. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed sum of money.

Shortly af­ter the robbery patr­ol units responding to the call arrested a 32 year old male in the area of Tulip Street and Beach St­reet.

The suspect is currently in custody and the investigat­ion is being handled by the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.

 

Investigators are as­king anyone with inf­ormation about this incident to call pol­ice at 902-490-5020.
