Halifax Regional Pol­ice are currently in­vestigating a stabbi­ng that occurred ove­rnight in Halifax.

Cole Harbour RCMP we­re called to a Clare­nce Road address in their jurisdiction last night in relation to an injured 19 year old male sufferi­ng from apparent stab wounds.

The male was transpo­rted to hospital by Emergency Health Ser­vices where he is cu­rrently receiving tr­eatment for injures sustained in an assa­ult early this morni­ng in Halifax.

Through preliminary investigation‎ offic­ers believe they have located the area where the incident oc­curred near the inte­rsection of Grafton Street and Blowers Street. Officers are currently onscene in that area and will be clearing shortly.

This investigation is currently in the early stages and more information will be made available when it is known.
