On April 1st 2017 at approximately 10:21 A.M. Halifax Regional Police received a call of a robbery at the TD Bank located at 97 Portland Street.
A male entered the bank indicating he had a firearm and demanded money. No firearm was seen and no one was injured. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed sum of money.
Shortly after the robbery patrol units responding to the call arrested a 32 year old male in the area of Tulip Street and Beach Street.
The suspect is currently in custody and the investigation is being handled by the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about this incident to call police at 902-490-5020.
