Halifax Regional Police have a suspect in custody after Bar Robbed in Halifax
On April 4th 2017 at approximately 5:46 P.M. Halifax Regional Police received a call of a disturbance near Spring Garden Place. When officers arrived on Brenton Street they found two men holding another male down. Patrol officers were then informed that staff was emptying the VLT machine at a Bar in the 5600 block of Spring Garden Road , the suspect used violence to knock over the staff member and then grab an undetermined amount of money before fleeing. The suspect fled through Spring Garden Place being chased by bar staff, until caught on Brenton Street and held until police arrived. There was no weapon used and no one was injured.
A 23 year old man from Lakelands, Nova Scotia will be appearing in Halifax Provincial Court, 5250 Spring Garden Road on April 5th to answer to a robbery charge.
