Halifax Regional Police remind citizens to use extreme caution during the current weather event that we are experiencing.
Unusually high winds coupled with a rainfall warning has been causing havoc at numerous locations across HRM. Please remember that this wind has caused the fresh leaves to fall, causing it to be very slippery on the roadways and the pooling water is causing hydroplaning.
Currently police and emergency services are on scene at Fenwick Street for blowing debris and ask citizens to remain away from the area as several streets are blocked off.
Police are also currently on scene at the following locations for downed power lines / tree’s / or driving obstructions.
Fenwick Street, Halifax (and surround streets)
0-100 block of Herring Cove Road, Halifax
Auburn Avenue, Halifax
Agricola / Young Streets, Halifax
Bishop / Lower Water Streets Halifax
We thank you for your assistance and stay safe
