Halifax Regional Police are investigating a report of an assault with a weapon

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a report of an assault with a weapon during the early morning hours of October 6, 2018.

At approximately 2:22 a.m. police responded to a call involving a 26 year old male located on Inglis St. at Tower Rd. reporting he had been stabbed.

The male victim reported the stabbing had occurred in Point Pleasant Park after an altercation with a female known to him.

A 25 year old female suspect was taken into custody. The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and has since been treated and released.

The investigation is continuing.
