Officers assigned to the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating a sexual assault that took place overnight in Dartmouth.
On July 30 at approximately 12:45 a.m., a woman was walking on a pathway that connects Collins Grove Road and Regal Road when a man approached her from behind, threatened her and then touched her in a sexual manner over her clothing. The victim was able to make her way home where she later called police.
The suspect is described as a white man in his forties, 5’8”, medium build with light-coloured eyes and short, light-coloured hair. He was wearing a dark-coloured hoodie at the time of the incident.
