Halifax Regional Police promoted an officer at a ceremony at Police Headquarters held earlier today.

Chris Marinelli was promoted to the rank of Sergeant this morning by Chief Jean-Michel (J.M.) Blais.

Sergeant Marinelli is a 16 year veteran who has served in the Patrol Division, Mounted Unit and numerous sections of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, most recently in the Homicide Unit of the Special Investigation Section.

Sergeant Marinelli will fill a vacancy within the Patrol Division. We look forward to his leadership in his newly-assigned role.
