Halifax Regional Police Reports Two Serious Overnight Incidents

At 00:46am, HRP officers responded to a weapons call at the intersection of Rocky Lake Drive and Scotia Drive. Information received indicated that two 15 year old male victims were sprayed with a sensory irritant by a third 17 year old male known to them. The 17 year old male had fled the area. He was apprehended and will face charges of two counts of assault with a weapon and, breach of conditions and probation. The victims had their eyes flushed by EHS and returned home.

At 1:45am, HRP officers responded to a street level robbery at Jubiliee Road and Edward street. A 28 year old male victim was walking on Jubille Road when he was approached him from behind by 2 males. One of males struck the victim in the face, sending the victim to the ground. The males then took some personal items from the victim and, fled the area towards Robie Street. The victim was checked at the scene by EHS and, released with a minor cut to his face.

One male suspect is described as: white, in his twenties, average height, 170-190 pounds,  buzzed cut,  blue/black shirt. The victim could not describe the second male.
