Halifax Seaport Market piloting customer pick-up only service for vendors

Release:

The Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market will be testing an initiative to connect primary producer vendors with customers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Customers will be able to pre-order goods from websites or online platforms of participating vendors and pick those goods up at the Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market at a designated exterior location at a scheduled time.

‘Pod’ areas will be provided to vendors to facilitate this customer pick-up only service which will be available Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. until noon and 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., starting on Friday, May 8, 2020. Vendors will deliver the order to the waiting customer at the designated pick-up point. Customers are not permitted inside the building and will be responsible for maintaining appropriate physical distancing when waiting for their order.

Primary producers are our priority with this initiative as we work to connect customers with the essentials they need.
