Canoe ’26 Road Closures (Starting June 22)
With the Canoe ’26 world championships gearing up, significant traffic changes take effect today around Lake Banook in Dartmouth. Banook Avenue, Boathouse Lane, and Nowlan Street are officially closed to general traffic starting this morning, with more extensive closures rolling out next week. Expect detours on Halifax Transit Route 370 and heavily restricted parking in the area through early July.

Macdonald Bridge Overnight Closures (June 21–25)
If you rely on the bridge for late-night or early-morning travel, you will need to take the MacKay. The Macdonald Bridge is facing overnight vehicle closures from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. through Thursday, June 25. Crews are replacing the lane control system. The sidewalk and bicycle lane will remain open during these closures.

Woodlawn Road Maintenance (June 22–26)
Drivers traveling through Dartmouth should prepare for daily delays on Woodlawn Road between Mount Edward and Valleyfield roads. Extensive road repair work begins today and runs through Friday, June 26. Two-way traffic will be maintained during the morning, but expect stop-and-go conditions during the evening rush from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
