Halifax Transit service and schedule adjustments, MacKay Bridge weekend shuttles

Monday, Aug. 22, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – Halifax Transit is advising passengers of a number of minor schedule changes that went into effect today, as part of the August service and schedule adjustments. A list of affected routes with updated schedules can be found in the updated Riders' Guide, and online at http://www.halifax.ca/transit/Aug22-Changes/index.php. Passengers are also advised of the following two notable service and schedule adjustments that went into effect today, Aug. 22. Route 330 Tantallon: An extra trip has been added in the morning and afternoon on the route 330 Tantallon as part of the first-year implementation of the transit network redesign, guided by the Moving Forward Together Plan. View the updated 330 Tantallon schedule in the Riders’ Guide or online at http://www.halifax.ca/transit/Schedules/documents/Route330.pdf.  MacKay Bridge Shuttles: Effective immediately, bus routes that normally travel the Macdonald Bridge will no longer detour via the MacKay Bridge during the weekend Macdonald Bridge closures. These routes will instead begin and end at Scotia Square in Halifax, and the Dartmouth Bridge Terminal, and passengers will be required to transfer to the MacKay Bridge Shuttle that operates on scheduled service between each of those locations. This service adjustment affects the following bus routes: -1 Spring Garden -10 Dalhousie -14 Leiblin Park -52 Crosstown -61 North Preston/Auburn -320 Airport/Fall River* *Please note route 320 Airport/Fall River will continue to provide two morning peak trips from Albemarle Street to the Halifax Stanfield International Airport on Saturdays and Sundays. See the Riders’ Guide for complete schedule details.  Passengers are reminded that the Macdonald Bridge closures will also continue Monday to Friday beginning at 7 p.m. on weekday evenings.
