Halifax Water asks some west end residents to reduce wastewater flow during critical pipe repair

Halifax Water release:

Halifax Water is currently onsite near 7156 Chebucto Road, Halifax performing a critical infrastructure repair to the wastewater pipe.

Until further notice, Halifax Water is asking all residents in the area of the map [below], to reduce wastewater flows to reduce pressure on the wastewater system and minimize environmental impacts during this repair. Please minimize use of running water, flushing toilets or doing laundry during this time.

Traffic are already modified for watermain work in the area for the weekend, it is anticipated that additional lane closures may be required. The Armdale Rotary will be reduced to one lane, and access to that section of Chebucto Road will be closed. The area between the Armdale Rotary and MacDonald Street will be limited to local traffic only.
