Halifax Water Commission Board Elects New Chair
Halifax – July 14, 2022 – Members of the Halifax Water Commission Board, and General Manager, Cathie O’Toole, are pleased to announce that Ms. Colleen Rollings, P. Eng., PMP, has been elected Chair of the Halifax Water Board of Commissioners as of June 23, 2022. In addition, the Board has also elected Ms. Becky Kent, Councillor for Halifax District 3, as its Vice Chair. Prior to this, Ms. Kent was Chair, and Ms. Rollings was Vice Chair. “Since joining the Halifax Water Board in 2019, Ms. Rollings has been a valued commissioner with a clear understanding of the utility, the sector and our commitment to our customers,” says Cathie O’Toole, General Manager, Halifax Water. “I look forward to working with her as our new Chair as she brings with her extensive regulated utility experience to lead the Board.” Ms. Kent was elected Board Chair in October of 2021 and has now decided to return to her previous role as a Board Commissioner.
