Street Closure – Levis Street – Wastewater System Maintenance
(November 9, 2021) From 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Friday, November 12, Halifax Water crews will be undertaking wastewater system maintenance on Levis Street, Halifax. During this work, the following traffic changes will be in place (see attached map):
* No vehicle access on Levis Street between Learning Lane and the end of Levis Street. Pedestrian access will be maintained in this area. * Local access on Levis Street between Herring Cove Road and Learning Lane will be maintained. * Local access to Learning Lane will be maintained. * No parking near the work zone. Residents who need to drive outside of the closed area beyond Learning Lane are asked to park their vehicles elsewhere during this work as the upper section Levis Street will be completely inaccessible by vehicle. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones. We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure improvement work may cause.
