Halifax Water PSA – Traffic Advisory – Almon Street & Connaught Avenue – Infrastructure Replacement

Traffic Advisory – Almon Street & Connaught Avenue – Infrastructure Replacement
(August 18, 2023) Halifax Water is advising residents that beginning the week of August 21, Almon Street will be open to local traffic only between Connaught Avenue and George Dauphinee Avenue. There will be no access to Connaught Avenue from this section of Almon Street. This work is expected to continue for approximately four weeks. Halifax Water has contracted Sackville Trenching to replace sections of the water main and wastewater/stormwater mains near this intersection. There will be pedestrian detours in this area as needed. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones. We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure repair work may cause.
To ensure the safety of our communities and our staff, please maintain a safe distance when Halifax Water staff or contractors are working in your area.
