Traffic Advisory – Barrington Street & Cornwallis Street – Manhole Maintenance
(August 10, 2023) Until 4:00 PM today, Halifax Water crews will be on-site working to repair a manhole on Barrington Street, near Cornwallis Street, Halifax. There is an inbound lane reduction on Barrington Street in this area, with no right turns onto Cornwallis Street. Two-way traffic is being maintained. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks remain open. This work will not impact Halifax Water services in the area. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones. We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure repair work may cause.
