Traffic Advisory – Downtown Halifax – Wastewater System Maintenance
(July 19, 2024) From 12:00 AM tonight to 12:00 PM tomorrow, Halifax Water crews will perform wastewater system maintenance on the following streets in Halifax. See the attached map for further details.
* Duke Street * Carmichael Street (From Market Street to Argyle Street) * Market Street (From Carmichael Street to Argyle Street) * Grafton Street (From Carmichael Street to Argyle Street) * Argyle Street (from Duke Street to Prince Street)
There will be a lane reduction on Duke Street, stop-and-go traffic on Carmichael Street, Market Street, Grafton Street, and Argyle Street within the work zone. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks will remain open. This work will not impact Halifax Water services in the area. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones. We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure repair work may cause.
