Traffic Advisory – Newton Avenue & Chebucto Road – Water Main Replacement Preparations

(July 15, 2024) From 7:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Tuesday, July 16, Harbour Construction, on behalf of Halifax Water, will complete work in preparation for a water main replacement on Newton Avenue at the intersection of Chebucto Road and Newton Avenue, Halifax. This will not impact Halifax Water services in the area.

There will be a lane drop on Chebucto Road near the intersection of Chebucto Road and Newton Avenue. Local traffic only on Newton Avenue from Fourth Street to Chebucto Road. Sidewalks in the work area will be closed.

Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
