Traffic Advisory – Spring Garden Road – Sewer Separation Project
(March 26, 2025) Halifax Water would like to advise that a portion of Spring Garden Road will be closed beginning on Saturday April 5th at 6:00 AM and continuing until 6:00 AM on Monday, April 7th.
During this period, Spring Garden Road will be open to local traffic only between Summer Street and South Park Street. Detours will be in place. See the attached map for further details.
This traffic detour will allow Dexter Construction to continue sewer separation on Spring Garden Road on behalf of Halifax Water.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows. Sidewalks in the work zone will be closed.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
Halifax Water services will be maintained during this work.
Recommended detours:
· Summer Street to Sackville Street to South Park Street then onto Spring Garden Road
· South Park Street to University Avenue to Summer Street then onto Spring Garden Road
