Halifax Water PSA – Update – Maintaining Critical Services Post Hurricane Fiona

Update – Maintaining Critical Services Post Hurricane Fiona
(September 24, 2022) Halifax Water crews are currently assessing the impact of Hurricane Fiona on our infrastructure. Services are being maintained for most of our customers based on gravity flow and backup generators.
Halifax Water staff are embedded with the HRM Emergency Operation Centre and working with the Provincial Coordination Centre to streamline a coordinated response.
To ensure customers continue receiving water, wastewater and stormwater services, our priority is maintaining service to our critical infrastructure with backup power.
If customers lose water services or experience sewer backups, please contact the Halifax Water 24-Hour Emergency Line at 902-420-9287.
To ensure the safety of our communities and our staff, please maintain a safe distance when Halifax Water staff or contractors are working in your area.
